Korea's First Living-Specialized Mall 'Living Power Center' Opens on April 30

[Land & Property] Korea's first living-specialized shopping mall, "Living Power Center," bringing together leading home-furnishing brands such as Hanssem and Livart under one roof, opens its doors on April 30. Located in Gomae-dong, Giheung-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, Living Power Center spans three basement levels and four floors above ground, with a total floor area of roughly 34,000 pyeong (about 112,000 square meters). Unlike conventional shopping malls that focus mainly on fashion and food & beverage, it is a one-stop mall where visitors can browse a full range of furniture, appliances, and household goods under a single roof. Living Power Center brings together every category of home-furnishing merchandise — home appliances and interior design, household goods, food and cafes, and entertainment — in one place, allowing shoppers to compare and purchase across categories side by side. Customers can see, experience, and buy a wide variety of products in person, making the mall especially well suited to those preparing for a new home, a move, or a remodeling project. The interior is designed as a mixed-use cultural space where an entire family can spend the whole day. It houses themed experience zones and a large kids' café that children will love. Across the second and third basement levels — roughly 3,000 pyeong of floor space — leading Korean and international furniture and home-interior brands have gathered, including Hanssem, Livart, iloom, Casamia, Simmons, and Ehmons Furniture, alongside a Samsung Digital Plaza appliance store. The third basement level has been designed as an experience-driven entertainment zone, featuring a "Harry Potter" themed experience area, the "Aqualine" children's pool, the "Bolbear Park" children's experience café, and the "Dream Tree Theater" for kids. The ground floor houses a large discount mart and supporting facilities. The second floor is an event park with attractions such as go-kart racing. The third floor will house a food court, and the fourth floor has confirmed tenants including Megabox and an art museum. The rooftop level features a rooftop park and a zip line for visitors to enjoy. With the opening of Living Power Center, the Gomae-dong area of Giheung-gu now completes the largest shopping district in the southern Gyeonggi region. The building sits alongside the large-format IKEA store and the Lotte Premium Outlets. The IKEA Giheung store, which opened last December, is directly across from Living Power Center, and the Lotte Premium Outlets Giheung branch is just a five-minute walk away. Visitors to Living Power Center can reach all three shopping destinations without needing to drive between them. The mall is close to the Giheung interchange on the Gyeongbu Expressway, putting it within a 30-minute drive of Hwaseong's Dongtan new town, Yongin, and Suwon.
